FAMILY CONNECTION
Children from toddlers through fifth grade and their parents are invited
to meet Sunday mornings at 9:30 to enjoy a family education experience
designed to be an example of what can be done at home. After beginning
with a prayer, there is lively singing, a brief study from a Children's
Bible, and a special activity (craft, game or drama) to drive home the
Bible Truth. Scripture and catechism memorization are also included and take-
home material makes it easy to review the lesson throughout the week.
Other Family Connection related activities through the year include an
Easter Celebration, our annual Summer Bible Adventure, and the weekly
Children's Chorus practice. The Children's Chorus regularly contributes
to the 10:30 worship hour. The benefits of Family Connection over
traditional Sunday School include encouraging family based Christian
training, modeling daily devotions for families, and an environment in
which children can learn from the examples of adults, peers, and
children of other ages.
FAMILY IN THE MIDDLE
Designed for youth in middle school and high school, parents and young
adults meet together at 9:30 a.m. Sunday mornings for studies from the
bible designed to equip our young people to grow in their relationship with
Jesus. Other activities include monthly youth/family outings and
events.
Family in the Middle purposes to develop relationships and encourage the spiritual growth of Middle and High School teens through Bible study and activities relevant to the challenges of this particular age.
